About GEAR 
2002 - GEAR holds its first robotics tournament with 4 teams registered.
2004 - GEAR awards its first young engineers award
2005 - GEAR becomes a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
2006 - Lubbock and San Antonio hold pilot tournaments.
2008 - Mobile Alabama joins the GEAR family and will host a tournament in 2009
